I Fought and Won is a place for survivors to share their stories with other survivors and those currently living with cancer. Those victories can provide encouragement and hope to those who have and will conquer their own battles with cancer.
The truth is that most people's lives have been touched by cancer is some way. That is why IFAW's focus is on what to do if and when cancer does enter your life. What are you going to do if one day you hear those words, "it's cancer"? By no means are we a medical site. What we are, is a site that provides hope and encouragement. Hope and encouragement from those who have had cancer and from those who have been caregivers.
What we all need to realize is that the person who wins the battle is not the only survivor. The family, friends and anyone else in the fight who provides love and support is just as much a survivor!
